Preventative Maintenance: Daily cleaning tips for your Fracino coffee machine

Why is daily cleaning so important?

To get the best out of your coffee machine, it is essential to carry out a daily cleaning programme. This includes cleaning the milk frothers and group in order to prevent a build-up of 'cheese-like' residue, which can affect the quality of coffee and also impact the performance of the machine. In our experience, milk frothers will often need to be replaced simply because they have not been cleaned regularly.

Common symptons of a frother-related issue include:

  • No milk is coming through or the milk splurts through frother
  • Drinks taste strange
  • Milk is not hot enough
  • Machine is overflowing or underfilling drinks

Five simple steps to cleaning

  1. Gather the equipment you need (milk frother cleaner, Subway cleaning handle, group cleaning brush, milk frother cleaning brushes)
  2. Remove the parts from the coffee machine
  3. Use the cleaner and brushes to clean all removed parts
  4. Clean the milk fridge and the coffee machine
  5. Put the parts back together

Save the cost of a replacement frother!

The images below show what can happen if milk frothers are not cleaned on a regular basis. Once the residue builds up, the milk frother will not function properly and the only option is to replace the part (current cost is £104.80 plus VAT).
