Troubleshooting what causes an internet drop out ?

If it drops out again can you try the following troubleshooting, this should narrow it down to where the issue is.

Anywhere outside of Spar

Internet line issue or router is down

Ping 8.8.8.8

From any device in Spar

Internet is down

Ping www.google.com

From POS

External DNS is not working

Ping happy-sbs.happycstomer.local

From Spar Back Office PC

Internal DNS is not working

Ping 192.168.1.22

From Spar Back Office PC

VPN is down

 

If the VPN is down this should only effect the Back Office PC as the POS is set to also use googles DNS server, if you set the Back office PC to use the Google DNS server it can stop it from connecting to the Happy Customer network.
