Hi Paul

Paul Jan 7, 2015 12:11:27 PM -  hi. need to know how to let the installation program know that theres no existing installation please brian Jan 7, 2015 12:11:53 PM -  Which version of Windows are you using Paul?

Paul Jan 7, 2015 12:12:00 PM - 8

brian Jan 7, 2015 12:12:07 PM -  OK thanks brian Jan 7, 2015 12:13:33 PM -  The message 'Do you know which installation you want to update?' followed by no installations to update, means the installation has detected a payroll.ini file, which might be from a previous installation of Sage Payroll.

To resolve the problem, delete the Payroll.ini file(s).

Once you've found a Payroll.ini file, to delete it > Highlight the file > Right Click > Delete > Yes.

It might be in one or more of the following locations:

.C:Windows

.C:ProgramDataSagePayroll

.The virtual store - C:Users<username>AppDataLocalVirtualStoreWindows

Tip: If Program Data or the file extensions don't appear:

1.Start > Computer > press Alt > Tools > Folder Options > View tab.

2.Select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

3.Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box.

4.Click Apply > OK.

Once deleted, you should then be able to reinstall Sage Payroll.
